Our take

My Name opens soft, an almond sweetness folded into a powdery violet accord that feels closer to pressed face powder than to a cut flower. Violet on its own usually comes across cool and a little sharp, but here it warms up considerably, rounded off by musk and a gentle wash of white floral. Vanilla settles underneath and keeps things milky and calm, short of the heavy sweetness some vanilla bases lean into.

Nothing about this fragrance is sharp or citrus-bright, which gives it a grown-up feel even with a violet-and-vanilla pairing that could easily have skewed young. My Name works best as a personal, close-worn scent rather than a loud entrance, the kind of fragrance you reach for on a quiet day when clean and soft is the whole goal. Aurélien Guichard is credited as the perfumer, and the restraint feels like the point of the whole composition. There's no citrus top note to open things up and no heavy resin to weigh the finish down, just a steady, powdery warmth that barely shifts from first spray to last trace, which some will find comforting and others will find a little flat, depending on the mood they're chasing that day.
