A narrow stone path cuts through a garden where the last leaves of the year cling to the branches. The air carries a bite that makes you pull your coat tighter. Satus Parfum lives in this walk. The opening hits with a sharp mix of cloves and ginger, brightened by the clean snap of juniper berries and a dusting of coriander. It feels like breathing in the cold air itself, spiced and immediate.
As the walk continues, the path opens near a wooden shed where cured hides hang to dry. The heart of the fragrance shifts toward iris and amber, wrapped in the modern haze of Iso E Super. Atlas cedar and cypress add a dry green structure, while cinnamon warms the air just enough to take the edge off the chill. Oud sits in the background, resinous and deep, letting the powdery iris lead the way.
The final steps bring you past a pile of damp leaves and old timber, where birch tar and frankincense rise from the ground. Leather and tobacco wrap around the oud, heavy and rich, while tolu balsam and patchouli ground the scene in earth. The smoke from the frankincense drifts through the entire space, mixing with the violet and musky accords. It is a composition built on amber and leather.
