The sun sits high over a tiled courtyard in southern Spain. Ylang-ylang and chamomile drift from a shallow ceramic bowl, their soft floral weight brightened by a thread of saffron that catches the light. It feels calm and open, a quiet beginning that invites you to stay where you are.
As the afternoon settles, orris and galbanum rise from the warm stone. The orris brings a fine powder that sits against the green, resinous edge of the galbanum, while rose adds a gentle floral heart. Amber and vanilla slowly build beneath them, smooth and golden, until the leather arrives. The leather is dry and clean, more like a worn glove than a heavy hide, and it pulls the sweetness back into a warm, woody base that feels grounded and composed.
The blend is rich and detailed, yet the chamomile and saffron can feel thin against the dense amber and leather. The orris sometimes dominates the rose completely, leaving the heart unbalanced. For those who prefer a clear floral presence throughout, this composition may feel too powdery and heavy to enjoy.
