Cardamom and cinnamon strike first, sharp enough to hold off the sweetness building right behind them, while bergamot cuts underneath, brief and bright. Orange blossom rounds the sharper edges before the sillage settles into a modest bubble on skin, noticed within arm's reach. It holds firm once praline and Bourbon vanilla take over, pulling the opening's citrus toward warmed sugar.
Ambroxan and guaiac wood ground that sweetness in something musky and dry, so the middle stretch smells more like spiced wood than a dessert plate. Powdery amber lingers at the very end, warm without turning heavy, and musk thickens the base so it never feels thin. That musk and amber pairing gives the composition a slightly resinous, grown-up edge, more spice cabinet than candy dish.
Fall and winter are its natural months, worn once the air turns cold and a little warmth feels welcome against it. Daytime errands are not really the point here. Someone who likes their sweetness dry and spiced rather than candied will get along with this fine, and by the close the cinnamon from the opening is still faintly present under all that amber, tying the two ends of the composition together.
