Our take

SEGRETI DIVINI II opens with a contradiction that some will find off-putting. The blackberry and red berries arrive with a syrupy weight that threatens to tip the entire composition into a candy jar, and the lemon and mandarin orange do not quite cut through that density. It is a bold, slightly messy entrance that asks for patience from the person wearing it.

Composed by Paolo Terenzi, this DiVina Terra release earns its place through the green, woody base that follows. Boxwood and moss anchor the sweet violet and Bulgarian rose, pulling the scent away from a bright daytime floral and into something grounded and shadowed. It feels suited to a person who enjoys a fragrance with a distinct personality, one that sits close to heavy wool coats and dimly lit rooms where the air is cool. Those who prefer a clean, transparent citrus should look elsewhere, as this blend stays firmly in its lane.

The jasmine sambac and lily-of-the-valley add a powdery softness to the cedar and oak, creating a texture that feels like walking through a dense thicket of shrubs at night where the berries stain your fingers and the damp earth smells of ancient trees.
