Character
Light of Jerusalem opens with palisander rosewood and lily-of-the-valley. The rosewood gives a dry, polished wood tone while the lily-of-the-valley adds a clean floral lift. This first impression is soft rather than sharp, and it moves quickly into the heart.
The middle layer brings incense, mint, myrrh, acácia, lilac, cinnamon and violet. Mint and lilac keep the floral side fresh, while incense and myrrh add a resinous depth. Cinnamon and violet sit between them, one warm and the other powdery. The result is woody, warm spicy and aromatic with a clear balsamic touch.
The base combines white woods, tobacco, elemi, musk, vanilla, immortelle, cloves, sandalwood and pistachio. Tobacco and cloves lean smoky, vanilla and immortelle add sweetness, and sandalwood rounds the texture. Musk and pistachio keep the drydown smooth. Wear it during cooler evenings when a deep, spicy floral feels appropriate for someone who enjoys resinous woods.
