Our take

The pink pepper arrives first, a bright spark that keeps the ylang-ylang from feeling too lush. Apricot adds a soft fruitiness that sits close to the skin, never shouting across a room. Jasmine weaves through the heart, clean and present without overwhelming the space around you. Patchouli grounds the middle with an earthy touch that stays noticeable for a reasonable stretch through the day. Benzoin and labdanum create a warm, resinous base that lingers on the wrist where you applied it. Musk softens the edges so the rose does not dominate. The whole composition feels suited to a sunlit morning in a city apartment, surrounded by pale wood and linen.

Celine Ripert composed this for Neotantric in 2012. It suits someone who likes florals with a sticky, amber warmth but does not want a scent that announces itself from a distance. The sweetness is real, though it stays personal rather than expansive. It is a golden ribbon of scent that follows you through a bright afternoon.
