The opening makes that clear immediately, as juniper berry and grapefruit meet pink pepper and push a bright, resinous sting through the door. It is not a shy entrance, and the pepper ensures the citrus never leans clean or soapy.
That brightness gets pulled into a heart of toffee, cinnamon, and bark, where sage and lavender try to keep the composition grounded. The toffee is the decisive material here. It wraps the herbs in a heavy caramel veil, and the cinnamon adds warmth that deepens the bark rather than sharpening it. Orris smooths the transition, but the sugar remains the loudest voice in the room.
