Our take

Sunset of Ocean opens with a straightforward citrus note that feels bright and clean. It carries a fruity edge that keeps the start from leaning too sharp, and the freshness here is immediate. The marine accord enters early and stays present throughout, adding a salty facet that sits alongside the fruit. Aromatic touches give the top some lift, but the opening does not try to be complex. It presents a few clear elements and lets them sit together without much development.

The marine character grows more noticeable as the fragrance moves forward. Salty and fresh notes dominate this part, supported by a subtle sweetness that prevents the salt from feeling dry. The fruity aspect from the opening lingers in the background, now softer and less distinct. Powdery and musky tones begin to appear, bridging the airy middle toward the heavier base. The woody accord is not prominent yet, but the sandalwood starts to show as the musk gains presence.

Sandalwood and musk form a smooth, slightly powdery base that feels calm and close. The musk is clean rather than heavy, and the sandalwood adds a gentle woody warmth without turning dark. Citrus and fruit have mostly faded, leaving the marine salt to play against the soft wood and skin-like musk. The powdery accord remains, tying the salty freshness to the woody drydown so the transition feels continuous. Sweetness stays low here, and the aromatic quality from earlier is nearly gone.
