Carnation adds a faint clove-like edge to the opening, giving the fruit a subtle lift that keeps it from reading like a simple grocery store spray. The entrance is cheerful and direct, the kind of start that makes you lean in for a second inhale.
Jasmine, sage, geranium, and lavender take over with a soft herbal floral heart. The lavender carries the familiar fougere signature, while sage and geranium add a green, slightly peppery dryness. Jasmine stays in the background, lending a white floral roundness that keeps the herbs from feeling too medicinal. It is a balanced middle that smells composed rather than crowded.
Cedar, oakmoss, vetiver, and tonka bean form a base that is woody, earthy, and gently sweet. The vetiver brings a grassy root quality, oakmoss adds a damp forest floor touch, and tonka smooths the edges with a mild vanilla warmth. Cedar keeps the foundation dry and straight, so the sweetness never takes over. The drydown feels grounded and classic.
The blend leans heavily on familiar fougere tropes, and that is where it stumbles. Composed by Rogério Rubini, the formula smells competent and safe, but it rarely surprises. The citrus, herbs, and woods follow a well-worn path, so the overall impression is more textbook than memorable. It does what it sets out to do, then settles into its lane without offering a reason to pause.
