Character
The afternoon sun warms the terrace tiles as a glass of iced tea sweats on the iron table. Bergamot and tangerine meet the air first, bright and slightly oily, with neroli adding a clean floral lift that feels like a linen shirt just pulled from the line.
Lavender steps in quickly, soft and powdery, joined by juniper that carries a cool, resinous edge through the heart. Geranium adds a green, slightly bitter stem quality, while freesia smooths the edges so the herbs never turn sharp or medicinal.
Vetiver and oakmoss ground the scene with an earthy, damp soil depth, supported by cedar and sandalwood that feel dry and polished rather than creamy. Musk hovers in the background, and vanilla tries to sweeten the base, but the vanilla here reads flat and synthetic against the natural woods.
The composition sits comfortably in that aromatic fougere space, composed by Rogério Rubini for Contém 1g. The limitation is that the vanilla note lacks nuance, creating a slight artificial sweetness that distracts from the otherwise well-balanced green and woody structure.
