Our take

Portrait of a Witch opens with a sharp, almost abrasive green apple that feels more synthetic than orchard-fresh, and the orange adds a bright, slightly plastic citrus edge that does not quite settle. Mango and cranberry swirl through the top, but the fruit reads more like candy coating than juice. Composed by Rosa Vaia, this Coquillete release quickly moves into a heart where honey pours over ylang ylang and chamomile, while green tea and clary sage try to cut the stickiness. Rum adds a warm, boozy weight that pulls the florals toward something heavier.

You stand in a dimly lit study where cedar panels line the walls and a shallow bowl of dried tobacco leaves sits near an open window. Vanilla and labdanum rise from the pages of an old book as amber deepens the air around you. Oakmoss clings to the wooden floorboards, and the honey from earlier now feels like it has soaked into the dust. Yellow floral notes drift past the tobacco, and the powdery accord settles into the quiet space between the shelves.
