Aqua du Póete
Fragrance notes
Character
Aqua du Póete opens with a bright, fizzy lift from aldehydes and bergamot. The sparkle feels clean and slightly soapy rather than sharp. Raspberry and litchi bring a juicy, tropical fruitiness that sits close to the skin. Jasmine adds a soft floral layer that keeps the fruit from feeling heavy. Fir introduces a green, resinous edge that cuts through the sweetness. Castoreum gives the heart a rough, animalic leather texture that dominates the mid section.
The base stays simple with ambergris and musk. Ambergris provides a salty, mineral warmth that blends with the remaining fruit. Musk smooths the transition and leaves a clean, slightly powdery finish. The leather and smoke accords are present throughout the wear, growing stronger as the fresh top notes fade. The scent feels dense and textured rather than airy.
The castoreum note is very prominent and can feel aggressive to some wearers. The fruit and leather combination creates a clash that never fully settles. The aldehydes and fir try to lift the composition, but the animalic weight pulls everything downward. This is a challenging mix that lacks balance.
