Fragrance notes
Tiara opens with a noticeable synthetic edge that sits on the skin before the rest of the composition settles. The peach at the top feels candied rather than fresh, and it carries a slight plastic quality that does not fully disappear once the heart emerges. This artificial tone is the main drawback here, and it shapes the first impression more than the softer notes that follow.
The heart brings white iris and iris together with a silk accord that smooths the fruit. The powdery facet becomes clear at this stage, leaning into violet and a soft earthy touch. The blend stays close to the skin in texture, never sharp, and the fruity opening slowly gives way to a drier floral presence. Musk and ambroxan form the base alongside Peru balsam, cashmere wood, and benzoin. The result is a musky, woody, and amber-heavy drydown that keeps the powdery iris theme running through to the end.
The synthetic peach remains the weak point throughout the wear. It never quite integrates with the elegant iris and the warm resinous base, so the opening feels like a mismatch with the refined drydown. Anyone who dislikes candied fruit notes will notice that artificial tone first and last. The rest of the fragrance is polished and calm, but the top note limits how often it feels like a complete success.
