Our take

The opening feels crowded. Bergamot, black currant, green apple, and orange all arrive at once, and the effect is bright but a little unfocused. The fruit leans sweet rather than tart, and the orange in particular gives the first few minutes a candied quality that some will find juvenile. Composed by Sébastien Martin, this chypre fruity mix tries to balance that sugar with patchouli and oakmoss, but the scales tip toward the playful side of the spectrum. It suits a man who enjoys a fragrance that feels like a treat, not a statement. Those who prefer dry, serious compositions should look elsewhere, because the vanilla in the base keeps the door open to that initial sweetness.

Rose and jasmine soften the earthy patchouli heart, creating a floral layer that feels more casual than romantic. The musk and oakmoss in the drydown add a mossy, woody texture that grounds the fruit, preventing it from floating away completely. It smells like a sunny morning in a garden where someone just peeled an orange and left the peels on a wooden bench.
