Our take

Soleil de Minuit opens with a bright, tart citrus blend where bergamot and citron lead the way. Petitgrain adds a slightly bitter, leafy edge that keeps the opening from feeling like a standard cleaning product. The almond in the heart is soft and powdery rather than gourmand, sitting close to the orange blossom without letting the white floral side dominate. Juniper brings a cool, resinous touch that bridges the fruit and the woods.

Cypress and cedar form a dry, upright backbone that grounds the fragrance once the initial citrus steps back. Galbanum adds a sharp green bite that can feel a little aggressive if you apply too much at once. The overall impression is aromatic and woody with a nutty sweetness that stays in the background. It suits someone who likes green scents with a nutty twist and prefers a composition that stays close to the skin.

The main limitation here is the balance. The galbanum can tilt the entire scent into a harsh, medicinal territory that overwhelms the almond and the orange blossom. Once that green note takes over, the citrus and the floral elements disappear completely. It requires a very light hand to keep the sharper edges from taking control of the wear.
