Our take

Sunrise Men opens with a brisk handshake of lavender and bergamot, the myrtle adding a dusty herbal twist that keeps the citrus from going full cleaning product. Within minutes, clary sage and violet leaf push the composition into green, almost metallic territory, while jasmine peeks through like a pale sun through fog. The drydown settles on a warm but restrained base of amber, sandalwood, and tonka bean, soft enough to avoid cloying but too polite to leave much of a mark.

The overall character is that of a man rolling up his sleeves at 7 a.m. on a patio, not sweating yet but ready to. It feels more synthetic than natural, squarely mainstream in its polished aromatic structure, but the lavender and sage give it a barbershop sharpness that saves it from being forgettable. The numbers tell the truth: sillage is timid, longevity hovers around three hours before retreating to a skin scent, which is a shame because the opening is genuinely pleasant. It never gets heavy, staying fresh and slightly aquatic throughout.

Wear it on a weekday spring morning, an airy office or a brunch date where you don’t want to announce yourself from across the room. Skip it if you need presence, projection, or a scent that will last past lunch. For the price, it is a cheerful, uncomplicated day player, a glass of iced tea you finish too quickly.
