Our take

Sugar Kisses opens like a warm mug of spiced hot chocolate left too long on the stove, the milk and cacao butter rising in a creamy fog before the orange peel cuts through with a bright, almost synthetic tang. It’s a gourmand that leans hard into the vanilla-toffee-caramel axis, and within minutes the heliotrope and frangipani get flattened by a dense avalanche of hazelnut, dates, and chocolate. The dry down is where it finally settles into a powdery benzoin and white musk base, but by then the rum and brown sugar have already turned cloying on skin that doesn’t run sweet.

The overall character is a bakery display case at 5 PM, everything sticky and slightly melted, the glass fogged with condensation. It feels heavy and decidedly synthetic, more mainstream niche than artisanal, and the numbers back that up: longevity barely stretches past four hours, and sillage hovers around a polite arm’s length. This is for the person who wants to smell like a dessert buffet and doesn’t mind if the notes blur into one sugary haze. Skip it if you prefer airy florals, leathers, or anything with restraint. Wear it on a frozen January evening, layered over cashmere, when you need a cheap thrill to remind you that winter won’t last forever.
