Narcotix Citrus
Fragrance notes
Character
Let’s not pretend this is a shy citrus. Narcotix Citrus opens like a pineapple grenade lobbed into a yuzu grove, all sticky green apple, black currant, and a peppery snap that keeps the sweetness from turning saccharine. Bergamot and neroli add a bright, almost sparkling edge, but the citrus here is not clean or simple. It’s laced with something darker from the start. As it settles, the heart blooms into a dense white floral that feels more narcotic than the name alone suggests: jasmine sambac, Bulgarian rose, and elemi wrapped around a smoky birch and juniper backbone. The patchouli keeps it grounded, woody and slightly leathery, while the base of cedar, ambroxan, and bourbon vanilla pushes the whole thing toward a warm, sweet-amber finish that lasts well over eight hours. Sillage sits at a comfortable arm’s length, present without shouting. The overall character is like a cocktail party on a tropical terrace where someone accidentally set the palm fronds on fire. It’s unmistakably niche, leaning synthetic in a polished way, and the sheer weight of the floral-woody base can feel overwhelming in stuffy heat despite the citrus opening. This fragrance shines best on warm spring days and balmy summer evenings, worn by someone who enjoys a bold, sweet-leaning statement without caring about gender labels. Skip it if your idea of citrus means a spritz of Acqua di Selva or if you have a low tolerance for sugar and jasmine.
