Seven Colors is a perfume for bright mornings and open windows, not for dim rooms or heavy evenings. The opening makes that case immediately. Red currant and orange lead with a tart, sunlit citrus that feels awake and unclouded. Bergamot and lemon sharpen the edges so the entrance never turns lazy. This is a clear, upright start that belongs where the air is moving and the light is steady.
The heart deepens the argument through a full, layered garden. Magnolia and lily bring a clean petal softness, while rose and jasmine add weight without darkness. Iris and cyclamen keep the middle airy rather than syrupy. When the base arrives, musk and amber wrap the flowers in a warm, powdery hold. Patchouli and moss add an earthy root, but cedar and vetiver keep the wood dry. The result is a chypre that stays lifted, never retreating into shadow.
The limitation is the sweetness. Tonka bean pushes the blend toward a candy-like softness that sometimes competes with the crisp citrus and the dry vetiver. That sugary pull can flatten the elegant tension between the bright top and the earthy base. It is a pretty fragrance, but the sugar makes it less sharp than it first promises to be.
