Amber Musk Oud
Fragrance notes
Amber Musk Oud opens with raspberry and bergamot. The fruit is bright and the citrus adds a clean edge. Neither dominates the entrance, and the two move together into the floral heart without a sharp break.
Jasmine and violet form the middle. The white floral tone feels soft rather than heady. Violet sits close to the surface and gives the heart a powdery quality that carries through the rest of the composition.
Sandalwood, cedar, and vanilla make up the base. The wood is smooth and steady. Vanilla adds sweetness, though it stays in the background behind the dry sandalwood and the firmer cedar. The result is woody, powdery, and lightly sweet.
The raspberry note can read a bit synthetic against the woods. The floral heart also stays narrow and does not open up much beyond the jasmine and violet. The sweetness may feel like too much for someone who prefers dry compositions.
