Dèsert Pearl
Fragrance notes
Character
Dèsert Pearl suits someone who wants a dry, resinous wood without the sweetness that usually comes with amber accords. It works well in cooler weather and during the evening, when the resinous facets feel more at home. The opening brings lavender together with pink pepper and juniper berries. The lavender is herbal rather than floral, and the pepper adds a sharp edge that keeps the start from feeling soft. Juniper berries contribute a clean, slightly pine-like freshness that bridges the aromatic top and the woodier heart.
Cedar and cypress form a dry, green wood core, while incense adds a resinous, slightly smoky weight that deepens the composition. The base rests on vetiver and sandalwood, with ambergris rounding out the amber accord without making the blend heavy or sugary. The result is aromatic, woody, balsamic, and fresh spicy, with lavender present throughout. The limitation here is the texture. The blend leans a little thin in places, and the transition between the fresh top and the resinous heart can feel slightly abrupt rather than smooth. It is a coherent fragrance, but the execution lacks the polish that would make the movement between stages feel seamless.
