Ambroise Pour Femme
Fragrance notes
Character
Ambroise Pour Femme opens with a sharp bite of cardamom and saffron that cuts through the initial cherry sweetness. The fruit here is dark and slightly syrupy, sitting heavily on the skin rather than floating above it. There is a metallic edge to the spice that keeps the entrance from feeling too soft.
The heart reveals a powdery violet that mixes with rose and raspberry. This stage feels vintage, like a compact found at the back of a drawer, the powder dusting the fresh fruit with a dry film. The raspberry adds a tart contrast, but the floral duo dominates the middle phase with a classic, almost formal presence.
Patchouli and oud anchor the base, wrapped in a firm leather accord that smells of old books and polished wood. The atmosphere is a dimly lit library in a stone house, the air cool outside the window while the room holds the heat of a burning fireplace and the heavy scent of aged furniture.
