Oniro is built for the person who wears a coastal walk as a daily uniform. The opening pairs mandarin orange and grapefruit with sea notes, and the citrus is bright without turning sharp. Bay leaf and jasmine sit in the heart, and the jasmine stays fresh rather than heady while the bay leaf adds a green, slightly peppery edge. Ambergris, guaiac wood, patchouli, oakmoss, and those sea notes form a base that feels salty, mossy, and earthy all at once. The amber and balsamic accords give it a warm, resinous weight that keeps the marine side from feeling thin.
The patchouli here is damp and dark, not sweet, and it pulls the whole composition toward the ground. Guaiac wood adds a dry, smoky woodiness that works against the salt, while oakmoss deepens the green tone already set by the bay leaf.
