Our take

Soul Drops opens with an unexpected tart fizz of blueberry and the quiet herbal comfort of chamomile, a pairing that feels more like a sunlit kitchen counter than a perfume counter. Geranium and honeysuckle lend a green, almost dewy edge while pink pepper flickers faintly underneath. Then the heart arrives, and it is a full garden of roses: May rose, Turkish rose, and the blushing violet-petal version, all woven together with pomegranate’s sour-sweet jam and a whisper of thyme that keeps things from cloying. The drydown softens into a powdery vanilla-musk pillow, with oakmoss and cedar adding a dry, woody anchor that prevents it from floating away entirely. The overall character is that of a vintage floral lace handkerchief left to air on a wrought-iron balcony: powdered petals, faint berry stain, and the memory of warm stone. Longevity is reliably good, but sillage stays close to the skin, a personal scent rather than a room filler. That moderate projection is the only real weakness, because the composition itself feels both lush and carefully balanced, natural enough to wear without a headache yet polished to a mainstream sheen. It suits someone who loves roses but wants a fruitier, less stern take, and those who prefer spring days or intimate evenings. Rose haters, obviously, should look elsewhere. Could it benefit from a bolder presence? Perhaps, but sometimes a whispered secret is more compelling than a shouted declaration. 🌹
