Fragrance notes
Character
The door swings open and a rush of lemon and orange cuts through the cold air, bright and sharp against the dark. Smoke curls along with the citrus, not heavy but thin and dry, drifting across the room like steam from a cup that has just been poured. Jasmine rises next, soft and slightly waxy, while patchouli and davana add a green, herbal depth that keeps the flowers from feeling too delicate.
Pelargonium brings a clean, leafy edge that grounds the heart, and beeswax lends a golden, rounded texture that makes the air feel warmer. Vanilla and tonka bean settle in slowly, sweet but not sugary, wrapped around the resinous weight of ambergris and the dry presence of precious woods. Musk lingers at the edges, blurring the lines between the floral and the balsamic notes without pushing forward.
The room feels smaller now, lit only by a low lamp and filled with the scent of a vanilla cake cooling on the counter, its crust caramelized and warm, while a thin ribbon of woodsmoke from the fireplace drifts across the table and settles into the sleeves of a wool coat.
