Fragrance notes
Character
Sunlight hits the glass wall of a morning cafe, and a woman lifts her wrist to check the time. The air around her carries pear and orange blossom, bright and brief, before the scent settles into its real shape. White pepper pricks through gardenia and rose, while barberry adds a tart red flicker that keeps the flowers from folding into a soft heap.
The base does the heavier work. Sandalwood and white woods give the fragrance a smooth, pale plank underfoot, and amber wraps that wood in a thin, steady heat. Vanilla sits low rather than loud, lending a creamy touch that pulls the pepper and the rose into a single, walkable line. The mix feels composed for close contact, lingering near the skin as the fabric of a sleeve brushes the same spot.
The accord list promises aquatic freshness and powder, yet neither arrives with any clarity once the woods take hold. What reads as a ten-part promise ends up narrower on the skin, with the tart barberry fading early and leaving the vanilla and sandalwood to carry a simpler, shorter story than the note sheet suggests.
