Our take

L for Women opens with a brisk scatter of pink pepper, artemisia, black pepper, and white pepper, giving the first spray a lively, herbal lift. The spice feels polished and airy, with artemisia adding a green edge that keeps the opening animated. It has the spark of freshly cracked pepper scattered over crushed leaves, a vivid image that suits the perfume’s clean energy.

Damask rose soon takes the lead, joined by jasmine in a floral heart with a cool, graceful shape. The rose feels finely drawn, while jasmine lends a soft petal-like fullness. Patchouli and vetiver bring an earthy, aromatic depth underneath, and cedar gives the base a dry wooden frame. Vanilla appears as a smooth touch of warmth, rounding the structure without turning it syrupy. The woody and floral sides stay in close conversation, making L for Women feel composed and distinctly feminine.

Its base is long-lasting, allowing the rose, patchouli, and cedar to stay present as the brighter pepper notes settle. The scent also leaves a noticeable trail, especially around the spicy opening and the dry, woody heart. That presence gives it polish without making the composition feel heavy.

L for Women feels especially natural for daytime wear in spring or autumn, though its crisp floral character can work in warmer weather too. It should appeal to someone who enjoys rose with herbs, spice, and dry woods woven through it, while lovers of very sweet or fruit-led perfumes may find its character too structured.
