The tequila note risks reading like a novelty trick, a theme-park rendition of a cocktail that forgets to become a perfume. Yet on a wide wooden deck overlooking a bright harbor, that sharp agave snap makes immediate sense. Plum and passionfruit spill across the air first, sticky and loud, followed by a rush of grapefruit and lime that cuts the sugar before it cloys. Orange blossom and jasmine float through the heat while a salty seaweed accord pulls the entire composition toward the water below.
Tobacco and leather enter quietly, lending a warm, slightly rough texture to the fruit. Saffron and cherry deepen the heart, and guava adds a tropical weight that never turns heavy. Copal and myrrh smolder in the background, their resinous smoke curling around vetiver and cedar. Birch and oud provide a dark, dry anchor, while hazelnut and amber keep the edges rounded and soft.
