This is a white floral that wears its sensuality on the surface, but the base tells a different story. Haitian vetiver and Australian sandalwood ground the sweetness in dry, woody earth, while ambergris adds a briny, almost sweaty hum that keeps the whole thing from floating away into generic fruity-floral territory. The effect is a specific image: a woman peeling off a damp swimsuit in a cabana, the air thick with crushed jasmine and the memory of the tide. It leans synthetic in its opening, which some will find cheap, but that fades into a more natural, creamy drydown.
The numbers are honest here. With a 3.21 for longevity and 3.17 for sillage, this is a fragrance that stays close to the skin and fades within a few hours. You will need to reapply for an evening out, and it is far better suited to daytime wear (94 percent) in spring or summer, when the heat can coax out its greener, brighter facets.
