Our take

Disco Impulse struggles with depth. The base is a thin layer of amber and musk that supports the fruit without ever grounding it. There is a powdery softness that keeps the edges rounded, but the composition never develops a darker or more resonant character. Someone looking for a fragrance with a bold, heavy drydown will find this one too light and too fleeting in its final stages.

The opening is a bright surge of grapefruit, lemon, litchi, and black currant. It smells like a bowl of sliced fruit sitting on a white table under an open window. Peach and apple quickly join the jasmine and freesia, pushing the scent toward a sweet, floral heart. The white floral accord is clean rather than heady, and the freesia adds a crisp, aromatic lift that keeps the sweetness from becoming heavy.

A picnic blanket is spread on warm grass while a breeze moves through the trees and lifts the hair away from the face.
