Histoire De Claud
Fragrance notes
Character
Histoire De Claud sits in a small wood-paneled study where a fire crackles against the glass of a closed window. The opening arrives with a firm leather note and a dusting of sage, sharp and brief. It feels like stepping into a room that has already been lived in, where the air carries the trace of a jacket left on a chair. The leather is dry and unfussy, and the sage gives it a clean edge before stepping aside.
The heart settles into something softer. Violet rises alongside sandalwood, and the leather no longer leads. The violet is powdery and a little cool, while the sandalwood rounds the edges with a smooth, creamy warmth. Patchouli joins the base with a dark, earthy weight, and musk pulls the whole composition close to the skin. The leather is still present, but it has become a background texture rather than the main voice. The drydown feels intimate and slightly animalic, with the patchouli lending a quiet depth that keeps the powder from drifting too far into softness.
The room grows still as the fire settles into a bed of glowing embers. The violet and sandalwood linger in the air like fine dust caught in low light, resting against the grain of the leather chair and the worn wood of the desk. Histoire De Claud feels at home here, surrounded by heavy books and the quiet heat of a space that keeps the cold outside.
