Signature IV
Fragrance notes
Character
Signature IV opens with a bright spray of bergamot, grapefruit, and mandarin orange that feels immediate and clean. Cassis and apple add a touch of juice to the citrus, while pink pepper and nutmeg give the entrance a gentle bite. Neroli smooths the edges so the start never turns sharp or aggressive. The early impression is crisp and uplifting, like stepping outside when the air is warm and the light is clear.
The heart pulls the fragrance toward its fougere roots with lavender, sage, and rosemary leading the way. Geranium and violet keep the tone green, while jasmine, ylang-ylang, and lily-of-the-valley introduce a soft white floral layer that never dominates. Rose and juniper add quiet depth, and cardamom bridges the fresh top to the heavier base. The blend stays aromatic and composed, comfortable on skin that is already warm from the sun.
Cedar, sandalwood, and vetiver form a dry foundation that keeps the sweetness of vanilla, tonka bean, and benzoin in check. Leather and oakmoss add a classic masculine weight, while amber, labdanum, cinnamon, elemi, fir, musk, and patchouli fill out the base with a resinous, woody richness. The overall character is polished and versatile, smelling like a linen shirt worn on a balcony overlooking a harbor full of masts.
