Rose Saffron
Fragrance notes
Character
Rose Saffron by Whind opens with a striking blend of coffee and saffron. The coffee note is dark and roasted, giving the fragrance an immediate bitter edge. Saffron adds a warm, slightly metallic spice that lifts the heavy opening. Passionfruit sits quietly underneath, offering a small bright touch that keeps the start from feeling too dense.
The heart centers on rose and frankincense. The rose is rich and velvety, not fresh or dewy. Frankincense brings a dry, resinous quality that pairs well with the spice from the top. Pink peony adds a soft petal texture, but it stays in the background while the rose and resin lead the way.
Base notes of oud, crystal amber, and vanilla bean create a deep finish. Oud provides a woody, slightly smoky foundation. Crystal amber adds a clear, golden warmth. Vanilla bean smooths the sharper edges without turning the scent sugary. Together, they leave a heavy, resinous trail that feels suited to a cold night and a quiet, dimly lit room.
The overall character stays close to its rose and amber accords. It feels composed and steady from the first spray to the final drydown. The vanilla lingers gently at the very end.
