Deathly Hallows
Fragrance notes
Character
A small cabin sits near a line of birch trees while leaves turn under a gray sky. Dried apricot and almond meet a thin ribbon of smoke at the door, a brief fruitiness that feels like a handful of preserves carried in from the cold. The opening is quick and slightly sweet, then the air shifts as mineral leather and vetiver take hold.
Tolu balsam rounds the edges of the leather, but the room grows darker as birch tar settles into the wood. Mushroom and patchouli bring an earthy weight that feels damp against the floorboards, the kind of scent that clings to wool and stone. The smoke from the top notes returns here as a dry haze, now threaded through tar and balsam instead of fruit. It is heavy, mineral, and unapologetically animalic, a composition that prefers shadow over light.
The balance leans so far into tar and mushroom that the apricot nearly vanishes, leaving a dryness that can feel austere to anyone who expected more sweetness. The fruit is present only as a faint memory, overshadowed by the dense mineral leather. It is a demanding scent that asks the wearer to accept its earthy severity without offering much softness in return.
