Sacred Santo
Fragrance notes
Character
A narrow porch sits under a heavy sky, the air cool enough to see breath. Palo santo curls through the stillness, its dry wood catching against amber that glows rather than shines. Resins sit close to the skin, thick and slightly animalic, while a bright citrus thread moves through the smoke to keep the air from feeling sealed. The scent feels like a small fire built on a concrete step, aromatic and steady, with nothing sweet about it.
The space around the door is quiet. Neighbors have gone inside, and the streetlamp throws a yellow pool across the wet ground. The amber deepens the shadows without making them heavy, and the resins carry a faint warmth that belongs to the cold. Citrus flickers and fades, leaving the wood and amber to hold the night. It smells of standing still, of waiting for a key to turn, of air that asks nothing from the person standing in it.
Sarah Horowitz composed this for the person who wants a fragrance that feels like a boundary between indoors and out. Wear it when the evening is long and the air bites at the collar, when a single note of wood and resin is enough to mark the hour.
