Seven Sages Of The Bamboo Grove 竹林七贤
Fragrance notes
Character
A path cuts through a stand of young bamboo, the stalks still damp from an early rain. Sunlight filters through the leaves in thin, shifting lines that land on the ground in pale circles. Someone walks this path with a small cloth bag and a book tucked under one arm. The air around them carries a bright, clean citrus edge from lemon and bergamot, softened by the cool green snap of bamboo leaf and a faint tartness from black currant. Pink pepper adds a gentle, dry heat that moves through the space without overwhelming it.
White flowers begin to appear near the edges of the path. Jasmine and lily-of-the-valley bring a soft, slightly powdery floral presence, while neroli adds a bright, slightly bitter orange blossom tone. Green apple keeps the heart feeling crisp rather than heavy, and violet lays a smooth, powdery layer over the sharper notes. The flowers do not crowd the scene. They sit in the air the way fallen petals sit on wet stone, present and quiet.
Beneath the flowers, the ground feels steady. Cedar and vetiver give the air a dry, woody base that feels close to the earth. Patchouli adds a dark, earthy depth, while leather brings a smooth, worn texture that recalls an old satchel left in the sun. Musk and amber wrap the sharper edges into something warm and close to the skin, holding the green and floral notes together so nothing feels scattered.
The walk continues under the bamboo canopy, where light rests on a wooden bench beside a small pool of clear water that reflects the moving stalks above.
