The towel is still warm from the sun when you shake it out over the railing. Salt dries on your skin in a thin film that smells exactly like the water that left it. It stays near the body, moving only when you do, present enough to notice when you turn your head but never reaching past the space you already occupy.
Light hits the terrace in a way that makes the air feel larger than the room behind you. The floral and aromatic threads in the blend give the marine accord a soft shape, like a stem holding up a petal that has not fully opened. Nothing here tries to impress a crowd. The scent lingers through a morning that stretches without hurry, carried in the heat that gathers on stone and wood. It does not rush to fade, yet it does not demand the whole day either, content to stay as long as the air remains this warm.
