The courtyard terrace is bathed in bright sun, with a warm breeze carrying the sharp, oily peel of bergamot and blood orange across the stone floor. Amalfi lemon adds a brisk, juicy lift that feels immediate and clear, while a pinch of pimento gives the air a gentle, dry heat. Thyme and neroli soon join the citrus, the herbal green of the thyme grounding the white flower so the scent stays crisp rather than sweet. Black pepper lands lightly, adding a clean, faintly prickly edge that keeps the bright opening from feeling soft or overly polished.
As the morning continues, the citrus slowly steps back and the base begins to shape the space around the wearer. Musk settles close against the skin, smooth and quiet, while oakmoss brings a damp, earthy texture that anchors the earlier sparkle. Labdanum warms the drydown with a resinous weight that feels present without reaching outward. The scent stays near, following the body with a steady, lingering presence that remains consistent through the changing light.
The composition is composed by Michael Boadi and wears beautifully in sunlit, open air, though the resin and moss can feel a little heavy for someone who prefers a purely crisp, transparent citrus.
