Our take

Morning light fills a sunroom where a ceramic cup of dark coffee sits beside a vase of fresh jasmine and tuberose. The air carries the heavy cream of those white petals, their sap thick enough to feel on the skin, cut by the bitter roast of the coffee beans. Rose and ylang-ylang add a soft, honeyed warmth that keeps the flowers from feeling cold, while iris presses a fine, powdery dust across the surface of the scent. Neroli flickers in and out like a bright window reflection, but it never takes over the room. This is not a fragrance built for movement or change. It stays fixed in this single corner of the house, anchored to the table and the chair, the steam from the cup mixing with the pollen in the air. The wood accord sits quietly underneath, giving the petals a dry stem to lean against so the sweetness never becomes a syrup.

The entire scene smells like a still life painting where the artist used too much oil, every stroke thick and slow, the white flowers and dark brew pressed into the canvas until they occupy the same heavy space.
