Kohl Al Ayoun opens with black currant and apple brightening the first minutes, while iris adds a soft, powdery edge. The fruit feels crisp rather than sugary, giving the entrance a clean lift before the heavier elements arrive.
Rose and jasmine sit at the center, but oud quickly takes charge. The floral pair softens the wood, keeping the heart from feeling too dense. The oud here carries a faint animalic touch that gives the blend a slightly rough character.
Musk, sandalwood and amber form a deep base that stays present for an extended period. The sandalwood smooths the amber’s weight, and the musk wraps the wood in a steady, powdery layer. This part of the fragrance moves slowly and changes little once it settles.
The scent holds near the body and does not push outward across a large space. Its main drawback is the oud’s rough edge, which can feel abrasive to those who prefer a polished, entirely clean wood.
