Daisy brings a light floral touch that softens the initial brightness without turning the start powdery or soapy. The top feels brisk and slightly acidic, then the heart introduces orris and nagarmotha. Orris gives a rooty, powdery iris tone that sits close to the skin, and nagarmotha adds a dry, earthy woodiness. Patchouli deepens the center with a dark, slightly musty leafiness, and cedar provides a clean, dry plank of wood. Jasmine floats through the middle as a faint white floral, never loud, mostly there to round the sharper edges of the roots and woods.
The base gathers guaiac wood, sandalwood, and leather into a warm, resinous foundation. Leather reads smooth and slightly worn, not harsh or chemical, and it blends with labdanum and amber to create a heavy, golden warmth. Tonka bean and raspberry add a sweet, fruity softness that keeps the woods from feeling too dry. Musk sits underneath everything, giving the drydown a skin-like closeness. The smoke and animalic touches from the accords appear as faint shadows in the background, more felt than clearly named, adding a dim, slightly rugged character to the resinous woods.
