Our take

7 Minutes opens like a fast food dessert that got caught in a florist’s cooler. The caramel and milkshake top notes are aggressively sweet, almost syrupy, and they cling. That sticky opening doesn’t so much develop as it does get buried under a pile of powdery vanilla marshmallow and a muted violet rose. The heart is all cushioned plush, like a stuffed animal someone sprayed with cheap perfume then left in the sun. Underneath, the woody amber and a faint animalic musk do their best to ground the thing, but the ambergris feels more like a dusty afterthought than a lift.

The overall character is a pink sugar cube dropped into a glass of warm milk with a single rose petal floating on top. It’s sweet, definitely synthetic in that cheerful, mainstream gourmand way, but the powderiness saves it from being cloying. The sillage is a whisper, barely a 3.11 on the dial, and longevity hovers around respectable but not remarkable, which for a caramel bomb is almost a relief.

This is a fragrance for the woman who wants to smell like a vanilla latte at a dimly lit dinner party, not for anyone seeking fresh air or subtlety. Best worn on a cool autumn evening or a winter night indoors, where the warmth can bloom without suffocating a room. The floral notes feel borrowed, not owned, and the milkshake accord is a gimmick, but if you’re in the mood for edible comfort that doesn’t insist on being noticed, seven minutes might stretch to an hour.
