Our take

Passionfruit leads here, but it carries a sharp edge that feels thin next to the weight waiting underneath. The fruit reads bright and slightly sour, skipping the round sweetness that usually softens a tropical opening. Rose enters soon after, though it does not bloom into a gentle floral. It stays pressed close to the surface, dry and a little stiff, as if the petals were laid flat rather than allowed to open. Patchouli anchors everything with a dark, earthy presence that feels heavy against the lighter notes above it. The blend leans woody and balsamic, with a warm spicy thread running through the middle, and the fresh accord never quite lifts the base away from the skin.

The room is a small conservatory with stone floors still cool from the morning. A bowl of halved passionfruit sits on a low table beside a single vase of deep red roses that have begun to drop petals onto the stone. Someone has walked through with damp soil on their shoes, leaving a faint, earthy imprint near the door. The air feels close, warmed by a single lit candle that adds a resinous weight to the space. The fragrance sits inside this scene as part of the stillness, moving with the air but never pulling focus from the objects that fill the room.

Sunlight hits the fruit bowl and the candle flame at the same time, casting a warm glow over the roses and the dark soil on the floor.
