Charming Pup
Fragrance notes
Character
Charming Pup opens with a bright citrus trio that feels immediate and clear. Lemon, bergamot, and orange give the first moments a clean, sunlit energy. The heart introduces iris and rose, which bring a soft floral layer that sits gently against the brighter top. Carrot adds an earthy, slightly vegetal touch that keeps the florals from feeling too polished. The base rests on tonka bean, cedar, and vetiver, which lend a woody, slightly sweet foundation without becoming heavy.
Composed by Steve Guo and launched in 2025, this MCM release carries a powdery iris accord that defines much of its character. It feels more like a daytime companion than an evening statement. The aromatic and soft spicy facets add just enough warmth to keep the citrus from feeling bare. The woody and earthy notes ground the blend, making it approachable for both women and men who enjoy florals with a dry, textured finish.
Rose and violet accords weave through the wear, giving the scent a nostalgic, slightly vintage lean. The cedar and vetiver keep the drydown dry rather than creamy, which suits the citrus opening well. It feels at home in a bright kitchen where morning light hits a bowl of sliced oranges on a pale wooden table.
