The sun hits a stone courtyard where herbs have been laid out to dry on a wooden bench. Cumin and rosemary release their warm, dusty scent into the air, joined quickly by the bright lift of bergamot and the dry leaf of geranium. Palisander rosewood adds a refined, polished edge to the opening. As the heat builds, jasmine and orange blossom begin to bloom alongside ylang-ylang, creating a white floral heart that feels textured rather than sweet. The flowers carry a metallic shimmer that keeps the air feeling crisp, even as the spices continue to hum underneath.
The bench bears the warmth of the morning, and the base notes arrive like skin against sun-warmed wood. Leather appears smooth and close, supported by cloves and the resinous depth of styrax and benzoin. Guaiac wood and sandalwood ground the composition with a clean, dry grain, while musk and a skin accord make the entire scene feel intimate and personal. The cumin never turns sharp, instead blending into a powdery, animalic finish that feels entirely natural in this light. It is a moment of stillness captured through aromatic herbs, white petals, and the quiet presence of wood.
