Orlov Paris’s Good Vibes opens like a fistful of citrus peel torn directly from the tree, bitter orange and blood orange jostling with neroli and a sharp hint of yellow mandarin. That first blast is zesty, almost abrasive, but it settles quickly into a green, aromatic heart where basil cuts through the fruit with a peppery bite, joined by cassis and a whisper of ginger. The mimosa and orris root add a faint, powdery softness, but the real anchor comes in the base: Haitian vetiver provides a dry, earthy rootiness, tempered by just enough tonka and cedar to keep things from turning too astringent. The overall effect is like a cold-pressed juice made from an overgrown herb garden, bright and slightly unruly, but never syrupy or sweet.
Performance, however, is where the bottle empties fast. With longevity hovering around three and sillage barely reaching arm’s length, this is a fragrance that evaporates before you’ve finished your morning coffee. It feels natural and transparent, not niche but a well-executed mainstream freshie, and it knows its limits. Good Vibes is perfect for a sunny spring day when you want a quick lift, a spritz-and-go for brunch or a park stroll, but it will not carry you into evening.
