T1 Pure Instincts
Fragrance notes
Character
T1 Pure Instincts opens with a bright orange dusted in cinnamon, a quick flash of citrus and heat that feels like walking past a market stall in the morning sun. The cinnamon is dry rather than sugary, and the orange stays fresh instead of leaning into candy. Lavender enters soon after, clean and slightly soapy, keeping the start crisp. Iris adds a soft, powdery layer that smooths the edges without making the fragrance feel dated. Patchouli sits underneath, earthy and calm, giving the heart some weight so the spices do not fly away too fast. The aromatic side keeps everything feeling groomed rather than messy, like a shirt that has been pressed but worn outside for a few hours.
The drydown is where the fragrance settles into its real personality. Vanilla and amber wrap around cedar and guaiac wood, creating a warm, balsamic base that feels smooth against the skin. Coumarin adds a gentle hay-like sweetness that blends with the remaining patchouli, and the powdery iris lingers to keep the wood from turning too dark. The vanilla here is mellow, not loud, and the woods feel polished rather than raw. The limitation is the cinnamon. It smells a bit synthetic compared to the natural feel of the lavender and the cedar, and that small artificial edge keeps the base from feeling completely seamless.
