Mon Privé
Fragrance notes
Character
Mon Privé is for the man who treats getting dressed as a small ceremony. He reaches for something that feels deliberate before he even leaves the house. This is a fragrance that belongs to a night out where the air is cool and the streets are wet, or to a dim room where conversation stays close and voices stay low. It fits a mood that asks for presence without a word being spoken.
The opening places saffron and peach together, and the fruit softens the spice so the entrance feels smooth rather than sharp. Geranium adds a green lift that keeps the start from sitting too heavy on the skin. As it moves forward, gurjan balsam joins rose and jasmine, and the flowers take on a resinous weight that makes them feel darker than a typical bouquet.
Leather and sandalwood form the base, and the leather here carries a metallic edge that matches the animalic accord in the background. It is not a polished leather that smells like a clean jacket. It reads more like worn material that has absorbed the day. The powdery facet settles across the wood and the rose, so the drydown never turns fully dry or aggressively dry.
The saffron, the balsam, and that particular leather give it a character that stays close to the wrist and the collar, where a scarf would brush against the skin and pick up the scent before the evening ends
