Bergamot and cardamom crack open with a bright, peppery lift. Rum adds a round, golden warmth that feels like sunlight on a stone terrace during a mild afternoon. Violet sits quietly in the middle, softening the spices with a powdery floral touch. Guaiac wood and sandalwood bring a dry, polished grain to the center of the blend.
The oud here is smooth and resinous rather than medicinal. Benzoin adds a sweet, amber-like resin that clings to fabric and skin. Musk wraps the woods in a clean, slightly soapy haze. The overall impression is a room filled with carved timber, a lit candle, and a glass left on a wooden table.
Jeremy Sabater composed this 2024 release for Zlaza as a unisex oriental woody. It suits someone who enjoys resinous woods without heavy smoke. Those who dislike powdery florals or sweet rum may find the heart too soft. The scent settles into a calm, golden finish built around oud.
